Project 1: Shaping the Mediterranean

Shaping the Mediterranean est un projet qui combine l’art urbain et la photographie. Un autocollant, symbole de la conscience méditerranéenne, est diffusé sur le territoire et photographié par les participants.

The shape :
The stiker has the shape of the mediterranean sea. It is intended as a tangible symbol of a mediterranean conscience. The sea is shaped in black to invert perspective between land and sea and therefore express unity. There are no inscription on it to be independent of any written culture and so that anyone, before recognising it, can immagine anything. This to express the multiple ways to built a mediterranean conscience.

Objectifs :
L’objectif final du projet est la réalisation d’une exposition photographique itinérante et d’un livre de photographie.
Le projet est de réunir une collection de photographie en provenance de tous les pays du bassin méditerranéen ayant comme caractéristique commune :
a. La présence de l’autocollant intégré à l’espace photographié
b. Un aspect documentaire illustrant une facette de l’identité méditerranéenne
Les photographies seront ensuite selectionnées et regroupées par thèmes (architectures méditerranéennes, espaces urbains, sociabilité, portraits) pour former un ensemble cohérent.

Le projet invite tous les amateurs à contribuer à l’invasion visuelle de la Méditerranée. Vous pouvez demander des autocollants, et je vous les enverrai directement !
